John William Edwards Sr

A Lancashire boy bound for New York

John William Edwards Sr. was born in England in February 1904, the son of William Wilbraham Edwards of Barton upon Irwell, Lancashire, and Anne Bruce of Tamworth, Staffordshire.

The tree records the family in England in early July 1907 and in New York a week later, when John was three. By 1910 they were living in Washington County, Pennsylvania, and in 1920 in East Bethlehem Township.

He married Mary Kathryn Wilt in Brownsville in 1937. The family later settled in West Palm Beach, Florida, where he died in 1976.
